Catholic Family Service is an organization that was created 25 years ago with the purpose of serving those in need.  The needs of those who step through the doors of CFS are widely varied.  We invite you to take a closer look at this website to see for yourself the mission that is still being carried out today through the many services available.

When you think of the needy who do you picture in your mind?  Do you ever think that for every adult needing some type of assistance that they may have a child or children?  Would you like to be able to ensure that the children of our community are not forgotten when people like you decide to give back? 

 

Catholic Family Service works to ensure that families in Lubbock and the South Plains area are able to gain assistance in a variety of services and with various items.  Through CHILDREN NEED we hope to focus on who we, the community, sometimes forget.  It is our hope to provide to children some of the items that they so desperately need, and we hope that you can help us as well. 

 

CHILDREN NEED School Supplies, Coats, Shoes, Clothes and Food.  These items in particular we at CFS believe could really make a difference in a child’s life.  From July through December 2009 we hope to bring awareness to Lubbock and the South Plains community that CHILDREN NEED.  Although we accept donated items throughout the year, we believe if we focus our efforts during the next few months for CHILDREN NEED it will bring extra awareness to this issue.

 

Here is a schedule of when we will focus on particular items that we hope to acquire through donations from individuals and local businesses.  We hope that we can count on you to help with this mission.  Soon we will contact you to better determine how you can support, but feel free to start donating items now if you can.  Thank you in advance for your support!

·   The Resale Center helps around 600 families each year.

Coats, Jackets, Sweaters, Tennis Shoes, Dress Shoes, Boots, Socks, Pants, Jeans, Slacks, T-shirts, Short Sleeve Button Shirts, Long Sleeve Button Shirts, Dresses, Skirts, Hosiery, Underwear, Vests, Suits, undershirts, ties, belts.

 

 

Canned foods, Dry goods, Sugar, Coffee, Frozen foods, Spices, Corn, Green Beans, Soups, Ramen Noodles, Pudding, Rice, Quart and Gallon Ziplocks (Regular & Freezer), Salt, Pepper, Etc.
